CSJ Student Presentation Award 2021

Candidate

(1) Presenter who is a student member of the CSJ, and is enrolled in a Ph.D. program (D1, D2, D3).
(2) Presenter who has never won the CSJ Student Presentation Award previously.*
(3) Presenter who is self-nominated while submitting the application for the presentation.
*Former recipients of this award are not eligible.

Procedure for Selection

Three judges (are consist with 1. The chair of programme committee of AP classification or a member of the programme committee，2. Regular member who is nominated by the programme committee，3. Facilitator) participate in the program, and evaluate with apprisal forms. After the meeting the Award Selection Committee analyses the appraisal forms, and Annual Meeting Organization Committee determines the awardees.
The Award Selection Committee is comprised of a few members from Annual Meeting Organization Committee and Academia Activation Committee and persons designated by the chairperson of the Annual Meeting.

Selection Criteria

Candidates are evaluated on presentation content, presentation ability, the quality of question and answer and overall presentation. Also candidates are expected to progress the research strongly.
Besides, the selection doesn't evaluates candidates using the criteria of research topic or laboratory which candidates belong in, but using the criteria of presentation contents and candidates' individual consistently.

Award Presentation

The awardees receive the award certificate from Annual Meeting chairperson. After the meeting, the award certification is sent to awardee from CSJ via immediate manager of research institution. Also, the information of "Presentation Title","Awardee's Name" and "Research Institution" is published in the journal of Chemistry & Chemical Industry.

1. The field of Physical Chemistry (Theoretical Chemistry, Chemoinformatics, and Computational Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Colloid and Interface Chemistry)
2. The field of Inorganic Chemistry (Inorganic Chemistry, Coordination Chemistry, Organometallic Chemistry)
3. The field of Organic Chemistry (Organic Chemistry, Natural Products Chemistry, Chemical Biology)
4. The field of Biofunctional Chemistry (Biofunctional Chemistry, Biotechnology)
5. The field of Materials Chemistry (Polymer, Material Chemistry)
6. The field of Energy and Related Chemistry (Catalysts and Catalysis, Energy and Related Chemistry, Geo and Space Chemistry, Resources Utilization Chemistry, Environmental and Green Chemistry)

CSJ Presentation Award for Industries

Cooperation Industry and Academia Promotion Committee presents CSJ Award for Industries for outstanding presentations from a standpoint of Industry in the Annual Meeting. The selection is performed among Advanced Technology Program Poster. Past award reciepants are listed here (only available in Japanese).
