Radicals used as spin probes can provide important information on structures and conformational changes of calixarenes through inclusion complexes of radicals or spin labels. Multispin-labeled calixarenes and polyradicals based calixarene skeletons should provide chances to study magnetic interaction and develop potential applications. In the present review, recent progresses in chemistry of calixarene and free radicals are described.
