Transformation of C–F to C–O bond mediated by chiral bifunctional ruthenium and iridium complexes is described. This reaction proceeds through water O–H bond cleavage via metal–ligand cooperation and subsequent mediated ortho-oxometallation via SNAr in the newly developed 16e bifunctional complexes bearing chiral C6F5SO2-dpen ligand.

Tohru Saitoh,* Akihiro Arakawa, and Masataka Hiraide
[Full Text PDF(J-STAGE)]  [Full Text HTML]

The use of a newly designed thermoresponsive polymer having highly dense iminoacitic acid segments allowed nearly complete collection of different metal ions from water for the sensitive determination by graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry.

[Full Text PDF(J-STAGE)]  [Full Text HTML]

We developed a monoclonal antibody (mAb) specific to triacetone triperoxide. Obtaining the mAb’s hybridoma cell was used by a mouse immunized with a conjugate. The conjugate consists of a spiro-compound with dipropanoic acid and a keyhole limpet hemocyanin.

Herein, we investigated the kinetics of charge transfer (CT) through DNA across guanine (G)–cytosine (C) repeats intervened by adenine–thymine base pair(s), suggesting that CT in DNA across GC repeats possibly proceeds via delocalization of the charge over G’s to some extent.
