IVA, Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, The Chemical Society
of Japan, Sweden-Japan Foundation and The Japanese Embassy
welcome you to a seminar on 3 March 2014
The pharmaceutical industry is still a highly profitable business.Nevertheless, the sector is facing a number of major challenges.
One is the declining productivity of industrial R&D. Over the past decades the number of new medicines generated per R&D dollar spent has markedly decreased. New technologies, as well as new ways of organizing research, are needed to address this issue. This seminar focuses on the use of innovative chemistry to support drug discovery.
